I enjoyed this project a lot! It gave me time to take a walk out in nature. Because of my busy schedule and the necessity that I often be in a lab I don't get outdoors much so this was a welcome break. For this walk I went down a trail that I've never been down before. While I've lived in Newark all my life there are always new paths to explore no matter what town your in though and I hope this assignment captures some of that feeling!

I think this was my most successful photo for two reasons. The first reason is that the subject is framed well. I wanted to capture the dead part of the leaf still hanging on while showing off the vibrancy behind it. This brings me to what I think is the second strong point is that the light works for the etherial nature of it. While I probably could've held back on the exposure I like the effect it gives. The most challenging part of this assignment for me was actually getting out to take pictures. While I had this idea that I had to go out with something in mind and have an image pre constructed, I found it kind of freeing once I finally got out to take the picture. On the next Assignment I plan to do two thing differently. The first being that Ill take time out of my day to take a walk down a different path. Now that I realize there isn't pressure to it like I thought I won't be an nervous to go out. Second I hope to take more picture in a row with various exposures. I think I found good subjects, but then I would only take a few pictures and while they looked good out on the walk, they didn't look the best when uploaded. All and all I had fun!

Hi Alexandra! Your photo is great! I think that not only is the photo lit well, but the energy is captured in it too! I think it's awesome how the light from the stage lights shows in the distinct beams. They also have a nice crossing effect with the majority of the beams pointing out towards the crowd and the one largest one on the left breaking away and bringing the viewer's eye right back to the focus of the picture. Great job!
